As the semester starts, ENACTUS teams all around the country are preparing for their regional competitions. At Florida Southern College their team decides to present their legacy project: Fresh Access Bucks (FAB).

An ENACTUS projects becomes a legacy once it has fully become a sustainable project. ENACTUS members do not stop once a project becomes sustainable. ENACTUS members continue to collect results from their projects and expand to make them better. With that in mind, FSC ENACTUS' FAB group created a project that will branch off from FAB: Little Farmer's Project.
FSC ENACTUS thought that in order to attack the 74% childhood obesity rate they must target those being affected. Rather than teaching their parents nutrition education, they will teach children. The thought was that children would not eat healthier just because their parents made them. The best way to teach a child how to eat healthy was by showing them in a fun and creative way where this healthy food comes from.

FSC ENACTUS has partnered with Rosabelle W. Blake Academy; a local school teaching kindergarten through 8th grade education. For a while rated a 'C' school and recently receiving a 'B' ranking, the faculty at Blake Academy strives for an 'A'. They believe that connecting with FSC ENACTUS and creating this program will help and opened FSC ENACTUS with open arms.
FSC ENACTUS will teach students in an after school club, not just how to garden, but how to use natural techniques as an alternative to pesticides and insecticides. They will do this by teaching them the importance of farming, what pesticides and GMO's are, and techniques in farming through lessons and fun experiments.
To connect Little Farmer's to the FAB project, the Lakeland Downtown Development Authority has offered to provide a booth for the Blake Academy Students to sell the produce they grow which will teach children entrepreneurial skills from transactions to marketing.
